With our collective expertise, we provide professional development and consulting services to schools and fellow educators, empowering them to meet the diverse needs of their students and drive excellence in education.

Ashlee Martin

Ashlee Martin, the Founder and Senior Partner of Heartbeat Education Group, boasts an extensive background in the field of education spanning nearly two decades. Throughout her career, she has assumed a multitude of roles, including reading coach, elementary teacher, reading specialist, literacy expert, librarian, gifted education teacher, and middle school teacher. Mrs. Martin's unwavering dedication to the realm of reading and literacy is palpable in her professional endeavors. Her area of expertise centers around the in-depth analysis and interpretation of data, with the ultimate goal of enhancing targeted instruction. In 2019, Ashlee established the Heartbeat Cooperation, which has since flourished to encompass a wide range of endeavors under its umbrella. These include music and arts education opportunities, tutorial services, charitable initiatives, and the Heartbeat Education Group.

Stephen Cooper

Stephen Cooper joined the Heartbeat team in 2022 and quickly rose to the esteemed position of senior partner in 2023. With an impressive 15-year career in education, Stephen has excelled in both instructional and administrative roles. His educational philosophy centers around the belief in nurturing the overall development of each student and promoting their active engagement. Stephen acknowledges that education encompasses more than just academics, and emphasizes the importance of fostering students' social, emotional, and physical well-being. By prioritizing a comprehensive approach, Stephen aims to create a well-rounded learning environment that equips students for success in all aspects of life. As a servant leader, Stephen is unwavering in his commitment to supporting and empowering educational leaders. He strongly advocates for a collaborative and inclusive work culture that values the contributions of all team members.

Dr. Emily Pollard

Dr. Pollard is a dedicated and experienced educator with a robust background in both academic and counseling roles within the community college system. With 16 years of teaching experience, Dr. Pollard has excelled as a College Professor, Special Populations/Disability Counselor/Coordinator, Adjunct Instructor, and Children's Therapist. Additionally, Dr. Pollard is a seasoned trainer and speaker, having delivered numerous presentations on topics such as personality development, team building, conflict management, and other physiological subjects. Dr. Pollard's dedication to education and student success is evident in her commitment to the community college system, both as an educator and as a proud product of such an institution.

Dr. Emily Pollard began contracting with Heartbeat in 2019. She was recently named Junior Partner of the firm in 2024.
